Located along highway 2, which is the main transportation venue between Alberta’s two largest cities, Mountain View County is right in the middle of an awful lot of opportunity.  Around 30000 people travel through the area every day along highway 2, which gives the county access to new people on a daily basis.  Also some of the provinces biggest secondary motorways go through the county, along with the Edmonton-Calgary train line.  Access to so many transportation options allows residents of Mountain View County the opportunity to grow their business and have easy access to the two main hubs in Alberta.  There are also two small local airports in the area and access to Calgary International is only a half hour down the road.

Amazing farm land is what originally brought people to the area.  Settlers were happy to find a great amount of rainfall and fertile soil when they discovered Mountain View County over 100 years ago.  Farming and agriculture is still a large part of the local economy.  Around 30% of workers in the area are employed by the agriculture industry.
